Maria Alvarez, a socialist feminist and human rights activist from Buenos Aires, will give an eyewitness account of the current economic and political crisis in her country and the massive resistance of workers to another disastrous bail-out by the International Monetary Fund. Alvarez will also address the rising power of women in Argentina where enormous demonstrations took place this year on International Women’s Day.
