All Support to the Palestinian People! Dismantle the Apartheid Israeli State!

The Freedom Socialist Party condemns the massacre of Palestinian protesters on Monday, May 14 by the Israeli military, killing 61 and wounding over 2,700.

This hours-long hail of sniper bullets was fired into desperate Palestinians protesting the inhumane conditions in Gaza – where rampant poverty, contaminated water, and no freedom to escape have created the world’s largest concentration camp.

While the military was carrying out this bloodbath, senior members of the Trump administration gathered in Jerusalem for the opening of the U.S. Embassy, a provocative act that shows the clear agenda of the imperialist war criminals: not to create peace, but to extinguish Palestinians and their resistance to the oppression of the Zionist Israeli state.

The world has cried out in condemnation of this slaughter and called for justice, but the U.S. and Israel continue to act with impunity. That’s because they are motivated by a war agenda pushed by the world’s biggest energy and arms corporations, who make massive profits off of world destruction, including the funding of the military state apparatus of Israel to the tune of billions of dollars each year.

What’s needed is an international economic and political fightback through expanding the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which was started in 2005 by grassroots Palestinian organizations and modeled on the apartheid-era South African boycott. Today the BDS movement is growing internationally. Corporations, entertainers, celebrities, trade unions, and students have voted to boycott. This is powerful, moralizing and educational. It provides a basis for a way out that can only be won from below, by people of every background who organize and fight together for a better life.

Beyond that, we desperately need a home-grown, workingclass-led, U.S. movement that can dismantle the tentacles of imperialist war emanating from the Pentagon. Only this will prevent the suppression and destruction of peoples in the Middle East and beyond.

We call for the end of U.S. arm sales to Israel!

Full Right to Return and self-determination for Palestinians!

Free Palestine!
