Branch meeting – From #MeToo revelations to finding remedies: What will it take to end sexual harassment?

A global tsunami of truth-telling about sexual harassment is shaking empires from Hollywood to the Australian music industry and Melbourne City Council. While welcome, the stories exposed by the MeToo hashtag rarely consider the cause or the solutions. This discussion will examine the systemic power imbalances of gender, race, and class, explore what fuels sexual assault and champion those resisting. Share your thoughts on what’s needed to stop this widespread exploitation.
The meeting will also discuss highlights from the FSP’s current mass movement organising and how you can work with us.
Dinner will be served at 6:30 pm for a $10 donation, and the discussion begins at 7 pm.
