Educational and FSP Meeting – Strike against Outsourcing: UC workers fight back
May 25 @ 1:00 pm
Pressure from federal, state, and local governments is on to smother the effectiveness of unions. So, it’s no surprise that public employees have staged job actions across the country. This is true for AFSCME 3299 union members at the University of California (UC) who are in the fight for their livelihoods. Learn about their statewide, May 16 one-day strike against UC management’s privatization schemes and attacks on the most vulnerable employees. Find out how you can support these valuable public sector workers.
Meeting is free. Brunch available at 12:30 for a donation.
Solidarity Hall, 2122 W. Jefferson Blvd., Los Angeles, 90018, wheel chair accessible.
