In honour of World AIDS Day: How environmental destruction fosters global epidemics

COVID-19 did not come out of nowhere. There is a causal relationship between environmental degradation and Zoonotic infectious diseases passed from animals to humans. Three quarters of diseases emerging among humans in the last 30 years are of this type, including HIV, Ebola, Zika, SARS and COVID-19. Debbie Brennan will examine what is driving this trend and propose solutions. Alison Thorne, will chair the discussion and give a special tribute for World AIDS Day.
