NYC FSP Open Meeting: “Witches, Midwives and Reproductive Freedom”

January 25, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm UTC+0

In communal societies of centuries past, women were leaders and healers. In the patriarchal war to rob women of control over their own bodies, wise women were demonized as witches.

Midwife Kaitlyn Greenough will explain how women’s reproductive lives were locked into the control of a profit-driven healthcare system that treats pregnancy as pathology. She will share information about today’s movement to empower women to choose from all reproductive and health options, free of economic or social coercion.

The agenda will also include a brief update on upcoming Black History Month events and how to plug into NYC actions.

All are welcome. Meeting admission is free. Dinner–with vegan option–served at 6:30pm for $10 donation.
