Special Meeting of the FSP NYC: It’s Time for a Labor Party

July 14 @ 1:00 pm EDT

This election year, the gap between working people and the two-party system has never been wider. Workers and all those under attack desperately need a political voice and a party willing to fight for their basic needs and rights. That’s where a Labor Party comes in.

A Labor Party could rise out of unions and community groups and be democratically built from the bottom up with a pro-worker, anti-capitalist platform that fights for improvements in key areas like jobs, housing, education, and healthcare. It could leverage the power of unions to fight to end the genocide in Gaza, champion reproductive rights, defend immigrants from racist attacks, take on anti-trans legislation, mobilize for real measures to end global warming and more.

Come to this special FSP Meeting where we’ll discuss a new national campaign calling for a Labor Party. We’ll discuss the history of previous efforts– and why the time is right now. Learn about how you can be a part of this campaign to put out the call in our unions, organizations and communities for a new political vehicle for change.
