February 2015 — Where’s the aloha? Kaiser Permanente health workers in Hawaii strike for six days after management offers puny pay raises, tries to end guaranteed pensions for new hires, and refuses to address safe staffing levels. A rally during the walkout garners enormous labor and community support.


February 2015 — Dastardly diplomats. A report by mining industry watchdogs exposes that the Canadian Embassy in Mexico colluded with a Toronto-based mining corporation. This led to the violent suppression of peaceful protests against land and labor rights violations by members of the Ejido La Sierrita.


March 2015 — Strike hits Portugal Fed up public sector workers wage a one-day national strike to protest austerity measures that have cut wages and jobs, and lengthened the work week. Hospitals, schools, state offices, public transport and garbage facilities are affected. One organizer calls it “a cry of revolt.”
