A Black Panther and member of the “Angola 3,” Albert Woodfox survived 44 years of solitary confinement and brutal prison torture after being falsely convicted of murder. Tragically, he died of Covid complications at age 75, on August 4, six years after he was finally freed.
He will be remembered as a lifelong organizer, teacher and revolutionary optimist. End solitary confinement! Free all political prisoners!
