Palestinians living on the tiny strip of Gaza are barely surviving after Israel’s deadly invasion last December. No rebuilding and very little humanitarian aid are even possible because of Israel’s blockade.

A few miles away on the West Bank, a brave counter-offensive has caught fire to stop Israeli occupation authorities from demolishing 179 Palestinian homes in East Jerusalem. They belong to thousands who have lived there for generations – ever since 1948, when Zionist terror gangs forced them out of what is now Israel. New evictions are being announced each day!

About four months ago,

Umm Kamel al-Kurd was forcibly kicked out of her home in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of East Jerusalem. She immediately set up a tent next to her home to organize the community, and now other neighborhoods and villages are fighting back. They set up “solidarity tents” to help everyone stand firm. As one neighborhood committee, Al Bustan, wrote in a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, “We will not leave like we did in 1948. We will not leave our lands and houses nor our community under any circumstances.”

Power to the mother who took the lead! Power to the Palestinians!
