In light of the devastating windstorm that attacked central Iowa, and complete government inaction in Grinnell over the last 6 days, please take a moment to call Governor Kim Nelson of Iowa and demand:
1. Restore the electrical power immediately
2. Send crews now to remove fallen trees and repair homes
3. Provide food, medical care and supplies for all those in need

The storm, called a derecho, raged up to 100 miles per hour, and knocked down hundreds of large trees which destroyed buildings, damaged homes, and blocked streets. Food is scarce, gas stations can’t pump gas and there has been no organized relief from the government. Pence recently visited but the governor is primarily concerned about crop damage rather than human lives. The town of Grinnell where Sharon lives has been ignored, as have many families across the storm path.
