Root out racism: A revolutionary reading circle

Red Letter Press just released two exciting new titles, which provide fresh perspectives on measures needed urgently to combat racism and what is required to stamp it out permanently.
Christina López’s internationalist take, Which way forward for the Black Lives Matter movement?, applies beyond the U.S. A Revolutionary Call for Black Reparations, by Emily Woo Yamasaki, looks at demands that truly address the crimes of slavery. “Reparations,” she says, means “recognizing the enormity of what was stolen.”
This four-session reading circle will discuss these ideas — exploring how they apply in Australia, where deaths in custody continue unabated in a profit economy built on the stolen land and labour of First Nations.
