Is our democracy broken or dysfunctional by design? Elias Holtz will give a short talk on how US democracy’s rise and decline has everything to do with class divisions and struggles between rich and poor that have been present from its inception.

Discussion will include a socialist analysis of the filibuster, racist attacks on voting rights, the electoral college, and how we can win workers’ democracy and freedom for all.
